We are looking for an energetic, customer focused, ambitious professional to join the marketing team. This role has a broad remit, the initial commercial focus will be on Ireland and the UK, as we build the strategic plans on our European expansion.
We are looking for a diverse thinker, an insurance background is not a mandatory, but an ability to see the bigger picture will be key.

Founded in October 2003, Cover-More Blue Insurance is an online insurance business, providing online Travel, Car Hire Excess, Motor Breakdown, Gadget, Pet, Bicycle and Wedding insurance. The Role
As Marketing Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
- Digital Optimisation, CRO: develop and manage our direct strategy & sales via analysis, co-ordination, and implementation of on-site conversion optimisation. This includes UX reviews, purchase path analysis, friction removal & other optimisation techniques, with the ultimate goal of improving our end-to-end digital customer experience.
- Digital Optimisation, SEO: develop and manage our direct strategy & sales via the delivery of improvements in SERPs & growth in Organic Search Traffic for websites prioritised by department head. This includes the day-to-day co-ordination and implementation of Technical, On-Site, & Off-Site SEO.
- Digital Advertising/ Promotion, SEA (Paid Search): develop and manage our direct strategy & sales via the delivery of multiple search ad account optimisations and growth in Paid Search Traffic for websites prioritised by department head. This includes delivering a channel performance that’s in line with ROI & CPA KPIs prioritised by department head.
- Digital Advertising/ Promotion, Programmatic: (Display, Video, Social, Audio): develop and manage our direct strategy & sales via the delivery of targeted audience-based prospecting & remarketing campaigns across multiple digital platforms. This includes delivering a channel performance that’s in line with engagement KPIs prioritised by department head.
- Digital Advertising/ Promotion, Database Engagement: (Email & SMS): develop and manage our direct strategy & sales via the management of value partnerships with our customers and the delivery of regular customer database communications for websites prioritised by department head. This includes delivering a channel performance that’s in line with engagement KPIs prioritised by department head.
- Campaign Management: develop and manage our paid media campaign strategy & sales via the co-ordination of our customer propositions and channel mix for websites prioritised by department head. This includes working with in-house design team to create required assets.
- Stakeholder Management: assist department head with the management of marketing and digital processes that involve other departments. This includes working cross functionality with other departments to achieve results.
- Strategy Development: working with the department head you will develop a marketing strategy to enable a European roll-out. This includes but is not limited to country prioritisation, launch plans, media & channel prioritisation, budget creation, stakeholder engagement and senior management buy-in.
- Team Management: initially have direct responsibility for two team members, but this will grow as the business expands.
Other Responsibilities
- Organisational: deputise for department head when required.
- Employee Management: assist department head with management of staff members, driving a culture of engagement, accountability, innovation, growth, & integrity.
- Financial Management: assist department head with smooth & efficient running of department budget.
- Reporting Metrics: delivery of monthly reporting requirements & continuous review of optimisation and performance measurements.
- TTL Strategy & Promotion: assist department head with our TTL strategy that includes integration of traditional & digital media.
- Customer Propositions: use of customer and market insights to provide direction for marketing/sales initiatives.
- Emerging Trends: assist department head with identifying and evaluating digital trends, emerging technologies, and new sales channel opportunities.
- Communication: ensure all contact and interactions are of the highest standards, communicating clearly and appropriately to all stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role you should:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or another similar field.
- Have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Have experience managing a team and significant marketing budgets.
- Have experience in developing marketing strategies for B2B and B2C channels.
- Be comfortable working across multiple channels and managing competing priorities Have experience in the insurance industry is a benefit but not a mandatory, successful candidate should be open to completing Accredited Product Advisor Qualification through Insurance Institute of Ireland.
- Be confident and capable to communicate clearly, effectively, and confidently at all levels.
- Have excellent written, presentation and editorial skills.
- Be a strategic and creative thinker.
- Be comfortable working with data and analytical in your approach to developing workable outputs from data analysis.
- Have a strong business acumen and organisational skills.
- Having a second European Language is an advantage.
